Manchester City v Manchester United: Here it Comes, Again

Here it Comes, Again
Manchester City v Manchester United
English Premier League
by editor Wong Yang and assistant editor Bryan Ng

The "noisy-neighbours" face their rivals in the Manchester derby once again, and with City out of the Champions league and three points behind United, a win may seem more important for them. However, the Red Devils' nightmare of last season's 6-1 defeat at Old Trafford was all too real, and City went on the grab the Premier League title. That game was memorable in the way City announced themselves as the new leader of English football.

Manchester City remain unbeaten in the Premier League, but settled for draws against Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton. United have lost thrice but stand at the top of the table, with Chelsea's season no longer looks as promising as it did before.

United head into this game with Kagawa, Anderson, Valencia, Cleverley and Nani out with injuries. At the Etihad Stadium, Milner and Clichy are fighting their injuries, but David Silva, who missed City's Champions League match against Dortmund in midweek due to a hamstring injury, may be fielded for the derby. Vincent Kompany v Robin van Persie will be the battle to look out for on Sunday night. In April, Kompany scored City's game-winner. Van Persie on the other hand, has scored 16 goals for the Red Devils. Van Persie was City's big target after last season, but the Dutchman wanted a more "historic" club gave United the advantage.

Although not as big a match as the El Clasico, the Manchester derby remains one of the greatest in football, and it will be relived tomorrow night.
