2009
FootballMania was created on July 27th, 2009 by Wong Yang. Results and fixtures for EPL, Serie A and La Liga matches as well as short news reports were regularly published on the site.

2010
FootballMania experienced a drastic increase in readership while new writers joined the admin team. Posts were more frequent and a sidebar was introduced on the site. A website statistics gadget and a 'live' scores gadget were added to the sidebar. FootballMania also did its first coverage of a major tournament - the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

2011
Readership on FootballMania continued to rise. According to the website statistics gadget, FootballMania had readers from 4 different continents, 15 different countries and 24 different locations in 2011. The admin team continued to write match reports for English Premier League, Champions League, Carling Cup and Club Wmatches and began coverage of Singapore football.

2012
By 2012, FootballMania had readers from 5 different continents, 30 countries, and over 40 different locations. It was also in 2012 that FootballMania successfully applied for GoogleAds. Up till today, GoogleAds continue to be displayed on the site. FootballMania's mobile edition was also launched in 2012. The admin team began doing 'LIVE' commentaries of football matches on top of match reports and opinion pieces.

2013
The editors gained even more experience doing 'LIVE' commentaries in 2013 and enjoyed their first ever 'LIVE' coverage of a match from the stadium in the friendly clash between Atletico Madrid and a Singapore Selection at the Jalan Besar Stadium. FootballMania also did its second coverage of a match 'LIVE' from the stadium during the final day of the Canon Lion City Cup. In 2013, FootballMania had readers from 6 different continents, 38 countries, and over 50 different locations.

Thanks to your support, 2012 has been a fantastic year for FootballMania.
