LIVE Commentary: LionsXII 4-0 Felda United (FULL TIME)
by editor Wong Yang

FULL TIME - The LIONSXII are crowned CHAMPIONS of the 2013 Malaysia Super League! It is an emphatic victory for the LionsXII, and an even more emphatic end to a superb season! Throwing up V. Sundramoothy in the air, they will certainly remember this special season. The LionsXII dominated the game, and their goals were mostly thanks to foolish defensive errors by Felda United. The defense was not that good on the LionsXII side as well, but the Felda attack was simply too ineffective to cause any harm. Celebration! Thanks for following all of our LIVE commentaries for the various LionsXII games throughout the season, it  has been such a joy covering their matches. Tonight's result will certainly add another page, or maybe even more pages, to the history books of Singapore football. For years I have been called "foolish" and "unrealistic" for my support of Singapore football, but I guess the cynics will have to click the pause button now, and look back on the recent success of our nation's football. All I have left to say is, we're champions.

FAS head Zainudin Nordin and PM Lee will be part of the prize presentation. The fans all on their feet, cheering with pride, as the trophy is being passed around the LionsXII team. There's nothing better than finishing it off at home!

90+2min - It's the last minute before the LionsXII are crowned champions. Sharil Ishak speeds down the left flank and passes it to his teammate ahead.  Felda defender kicks it away for a throw-in.
90+1min - Good driving shot by Leonel, who has worked really hard for Felda. Unfortuantely, his teammates have not been  backing him up well enough.
90min - Three minutes of added time  is announced.
88min - The referee should have called offside on Safuwan, who passes it to Sharil Ishak on the left. They do not convert though.
86min - The impassioned fans chanting at the top of their lungs, it suddenly seems like the Jalan Besar  Stadium has been transformed into a Premier League or a La Liga stadium.
83min - 4-0! Super-sub Shafiq Ghani converts the golden opportunity. It was a well-threaded pass by playmaker Sharil Ishak. Wonderful goal!
80min - You can sense the frustration in the Felda players, for Hariss Harun is lightly shoved to the ground.
78min - The Felda players look like they have no  more spirit in them. They've really got to push on. When you don't try, you won't even come close.
76min - It's almost another goal for the LionsXII, as the corner is not defender well by Felda, but it is still eventually deflected away.
75min - Izwan Mahbud goes up to take the free-kick, just for fun!
74min - Rohidan picks up a yellow card, and he will be barred from Felda's last game next week.
72min - Hafiz Sujad comes on for Nazari.
70min - Hariss Harun's boot seems to brush pass the face of Amar Rohidan. Rohidan covers his face in pain as his Felda teammates protest, but the referee does not book the midfielder.
68min - Leonel gets Felda's first shot-on-target in a long time, but it's stopped by keeper Izwan Mahbud.
67min - Just 13 minutes left, with the home team fighting to be champions, and the visitors fighting against relegation.
65min - The current score of the match between second-placed Selangor and T-Team is 1-1.
64min - Shafiq Ghani looks to replace Fazrul Nawaz. The super-sub is on!
60min - Fazrul Nawaz goal! He drills it into  the top corner of the net! Again, and again, poor defending by the Felda player brings them another goal  down.
60min - Sharil Ishak  steps up to  take the fre--kick. It falls to the feet of a Felda player and he does not clear it, almost giving it away for another close chance.
59min - Faris Ramli brought down, free-kick to LionsXII.
58min - The fans cheering "Ole! Ole Ole Ole!". Great spirit, but the LionsXII cannot celebrate yet, for there is still 30 minutes  left in the game. We've seen how the direction of the game can change in just a few minutes.
57min - Gooaaaaalll!!!! Sharil Ishak gets the second goal  for the LionsXII! It's yet another defensive error by the Felda players, but it is thanks to creative passing by the LionsXII players. Great play!
57min - The Singapore fans defeinitely can be heard here  at the Jalan  Besar Stadium. Cheering very loudly.
55min - It seems like Abdul Hameed will be stretchered off as he suffers from a thigh injury. Madhu Mohana comes on for him. Felda makes a substitution as well.
54min - Leonel gets a shot off with his right-foot but it is no where  near the goal.
53min - Felda's Shafizan makes an ambitious attempt but his shot is way off target.
51min - Fazrul Nawaz sends too strong a pass to his teammate down the right. He is now the second link on the counter-attack, but a makes an extremely poor pass by  sending it directly to the feet of a Felda defender.
50min - Felda has to keep up with the tempo, or there's no way they can equalise.
48min - The LionsXII still putting a lot of pressure  on the  Felda players, no matter where the ball is.
46min - Sharil Ishak will take a free-kick from the right. Great cross in, and it's sixes and sevens among the Felda players. It was a pretty well-taken free-kick by Sharil Ishak. Would have been nicer if it was a little higher so Nawaz could get a header on, but what gives, it's an own goal by Azrul Ahmad!
45min - The second half has begun. We shall see how both teams chase for a goal.
Half-Time - The referee calls for half-time! The LionsXII will have to play differently if they are to get a goal in the second half. They'll have to stop making silly mispasses on defence, and they would have to look to a more fluid style of football. Quick passes are what they need. Several chances have been created, but the LionsXII have been stopped time and time again. Felda have not controlled possession, and Leonel has really been their stand-out player, but he has caused only minimal trouble to the LionsXII defence. It was early on in the 5th minute that the referee denied the LionsXII of what I must say was a clear penalty.
45+2min - Nazari trys hard to get  past two defenders, but the ball is just out of bounds.
45min - Sharil Ishak plays the ball in  the  penalty box, and lays it off to Ramli, and a foolish clearance by a Felda player gets to Nawaz, but his shot is no good.
45min - The fourth official has indicated 2 minutes of added time in the first  half.

44min - Just one minute to half-time.
42min - Nazari receives the pass in the danger area, gets a chance to  finish but Azmi had made a critical touch to push the ball even closer to his keeper to make it hard for Nazari to finish.
41min - Though Felda has not been getting chances, it's not because the LionsXII defence has been completely solid. They've made sloppy passes that would have cost them  if Felda has a player that can work under pressure. That  player does not seem present at the moment. So far the closest to such a player from Felda is Leonel.
40min - Foul-throw called on the LionsXII.
40min - A LionsXII attack is well-defended by Felda.
38min - Safuwan Baharudin makes a bad tackle on Leonel. Free-kick to Felda. It's a powerful kick, well-caught by Izwan.
37min - A second Felda player  is being stretchered off.
36min - Leonel makes an attempt on goal but it is palmed by Izwan Mahbud.
34min - Safuwan makes the cross but it is headed out of danger.
33min - Felda number 6 powers a clearance straight into the face of his teammate, much to  the spectators' amusement. When will they stop hurting one another?!
32min - Looks like the captain's going to  take the  free-kick he won. Eventually, the ball floats straight into hands of the Felda keeper.
31min - Sharil Ishak wins the free-kick. He was trampled over by Azrul Ahmad, who  has already picked up a yellow card.
30min - Shakri Hamzah makes a long throw-in but it's too high and the Felda players has time to react and steal the ball away.
29min - The ball has stayed very much in the LionsXII's possession.
29min - Good cross by Ramli but Nazari's effort has been deflected.
28min - Two Felda players collide into one another, as the ball is stopped by the LionsXII defence.
27min - Azrul Ahmad picks up a yellow card for a bad challenge on Hariss Harun.
24min - Leonel to take the free-kick for Felda. Safuwan Bahrudin, part of the wall, deflects it away. Felda Number 6 Shafizan receives the bounce off but his cross is simply a great arch  over the bar.
23min - Well, now it's a big collision between two players. The Felda team is unhappy about it. Number 25 of Felda, Sharil Azmi, is down. He's currently being stretchered off.
22min - There's a little collision between Irwan Shah and the Felda defender. Crowd yelling "Referee Kayu!" for not calling a foul, but I don't really  see why there should be a call.
21min - Hamzah does good defending to prevent Leonel from getting closer for a shot.
20min - Corner awarded to the LionsXII as Azmi clears a cross.
18min - Abdul Hameed sends a through ball to Fazrul Nawaz but it is just a little too powerful and Nawaz is not fast enough to get onto it.
16min - Yellow card for Bakar as he takes a long time to get the throw-in off.
15min - A free-kick by Felda  is cleared. Leonel doing a good job of fighting hard against the LionsXII defence.
14min - The ball has gone into the back of the net! But the referee rules Fazrul Nawaz offside. Hariss Harun's wonderful shot was tapped by Nawaz and it beat the keeper, but Nawaz was offside.
13min - A powerful strike from a Felda player goes way over, no where close.
12min - Free-kick to Felda, as Azrul is fouled. Good call.
12min - The LionsXII playing at a high tempo. Good energy.
11min - Many balls have been sent into the Felda penalty box, but nothing really close except for Ramli's header.
10min - It's a searching cross but Safuwan's header  is wide. He should have left it for his teammate on the right.
9min - Ramli gets a clear chance and heads a floating ball but it's ober the cross bar with  Rozaimie getting his palm to it.
8min - It wasn't a really good cross by Ramli. Felda goalkeeper  Rozaimie comes out, and it  is knocked away for a LionsXII  corner.
7min - Bakar to throw-in the ball. He throws it to teammate Leonel, but another LionsXII double team pressures him well and it's out for another throw-in.
6min - Fazrul Nawaz latches onto a well-crafted ball but he just can't finish! His low ball stopped by the defender.
5min - Sharil Ishak  is brought down as he skips deeper  into the penalty area, but the referee does not award the home  team a penalty!
3min - Izzdin  Shafiq sends a cross in but he does not control the power of the ball well enough. After a strike from the rebound, it's a goal-kick to  Felda.
2min - Fariss Ramli snuffs the ball away from Azmi with  the double-team.
2min - It's an early throw-in for the LionsXII.
1min - The LionsXII get the match underway.
0min - Captains have tossed the coin.
0min - It's a sell-out crowd at the Jalan Besar! Not to forget the fans at the People's  Association HQ watching the live screening, and fans at home watching the live broadcast. It seems PM Lee will be spectating.
0min - There was a transmission error on SuperSportsArena, but broadcast is back! 5 minutes to kick-off.

LIVE Commentary: Perak 1-1 LionsXII (FULL TIME)
With their campaign coming to its final stages, the LionsXII sit at the top of the Malaysian Super League table. The importance of tonight's game against Perak FC cannot be denied.

FULL TIME: It was certainly a bad decision by referee Kamal Ahmad, but the referee shall make the final call. Despite the decision going in the LionsXII's favour, a draw is not what they were hoping for in this nerve-gripping period. It's Perak 1, LionsXII 1 in Ipoh. Over at Kelantan the match  between 5th-placed Kelanta FA and 6th-placed Pahang FA ended 2-0. We shall wait and see the result  of Johor Darul Takzim's match  against Felda United, which  sits in 11th  place.

90+4min: Crowd shouting "Referee Kayu!", and throwing objects from the stands after the referee's controversial decision not to call the hand-ball on Safuwan Bahrudin.
90+4min: Temper erupts on the pitch. Safuwan  Bahrudin tussles with the Perak defenders and goalkeepers. Now even  the coaching staff and the substitutes from both teams are on the pitch.
90+2min: Corner to Perak. It leads to a Perak player sending the ball towards the LionsXII goal but the referee does not spot a Safuwan  Bahrudin handball and theere is no penalty awarded. Khairi Kiman gets a second yellow card for his dirty challenge on a LionsXII player..
90+1min: Izwan Mahbud makes a goalkeeping error but the Perak player cannot get a good shot off.
90+1min: At second-placed Johor Darul Takzim, it's 1-1 with  Felda United.

90min: Yellow card for Khairi Kiman
90min: 4 minutes of added time indicated by the fourth official.
89min: Rangel sends a cross to the far post but his teammate is unable to jump high enough to receive it.
87min: Izwan Mahbud comfortably saves Rangel's low effort. Rangel has been the main threat.
86min: Shakir Hamzah thought he had got the goal with his header, but it was disallowed by the referee.
84min: Rangel gets the attention again, for he appeals for a penalty after being brought down. Luckily for the LionsXII Hariss Harun clears the ball.
83min: It was  Rangel who scored the 1st goal, and the Shafiq Ghani equalising for the Singapore team with a free-kick.
82min: Close chance for Perak! Fortunately for the LionsXII, the header by Paulo Rangel goes wide.
80min: Dear readers, I've decided to do my work some other time, and to cover the last ten minutes of tonight's crucial game instead :)

Manchester City 2-3 Manchester United
FULL TIME - One of the greatest games we have seen this season here at FootballMania, with aggression and great ball play making it a eye-grabber.
United extend their lead at the top of the table, and City head back into their home ground after a miserable week. Rooney's two goals made it look like United were going to have an easy win, but City came out strong after the break with fantastic play. A goal from Yaya Toure and Zabaleta's powerful equaliser turned the tables, but the added time gave United the three points and RVP finished the free-kick off superbly thanks to an error by Nasri.

Van Persie's goal
90+2' Robin van Persie makes his signing count and scores the free-kick on his derby debut! The ball was deflected into the goal by Nasri and Hart has no way of stopping it.
90+1'' Tevez clips Rafael and Atkinson awards United a free-kick. An opportunity for the Red Devils comes. RVP to take it.
90' 4 minutes of added time announced.
88: Danny Welbeck looks to replace Tom Cleverley.
85' Zabaleta equalises with a thunder shot! Will there be a winner in this game?
84' Jones replaces Valencia and Dzeko for Yaya Toure.

Zabaleta's shot
83' Barry strikes the ball very well for the counter-attack and Silva receives it on the right, with a cross and Tevez is there. The Argentinian pulls it back and gets some power onto the shot but it flies over.
80: Dzeko is preparing to come on for City, and Jones for United.
78' Silvia's shot hits the post!
76' Cleverley plays the third man and makes a good cross in but Van Persie's header goes over the crossbar.
74: Yaya Toure is booked as he clatters Cleverley late. Cleverley takes a drink as he takes an interest in Yaya Toure's apparent injury. It appears Tom Cruise is in the Etihad.
72' Yellow for Rooney after he goes for a challenge on Yaya Toure even when Toure comes clear. Advantage wasn't played and Martin Atkinson decides it is a yellow.
69' Evra gets onto Rooney's corner and Hart takes his goal kick. It's be an exciting match with bursts of good football from both sides.
68' Zabaleta tries over the top for Tevez, but claimed by De Gea. Corner at the other end for United.
67' Aguero plays a through ball down to Tevez who paces to it but pressure is put onto him and he can only let off a soft shot, saved by De Gea.
66: Rafael is down, but he gets up soon enough
64' Evra goes down in the City box, nothing to it, says Martin Atkinson.
59' - Carlos Tevez passes it to Yaya Toure in the danger zone and the ex-Barcelona player curls it towards the left with a ground shot and makes it 1-2! De Gea does all he can but it is a good shot by Yaya.
58' Van Persie gets a shot near the edge of the penalty area and it his the crossbar! Ashley Young latches onto the rebound and taps it in but it is offside.
56: Zabaleta is in need of a hug and bear-hugs Young to the ground in an attempt to get the ball. Comical from the Argentine.
54: Nasri is booked for dissent. Pointless in arguing with the referee. Absolutely pointless.
51' Carlos Tevez replaces Mario Balotelli who hasn't impressed today. Balotelli stares at Mancini as he comes off, and heads for the dressing room. City caught offside twice in two minutes now.
50: The camera catches sight of Tevez's new role on paper. What impact will he have when Balotelli comes off? Evra beats Nasri at his corner and manages a clearance.
48' Chris Smalling comes on for Jonny Evans. Ferdinand is scraped unintentionally by Balotelli's back heel
47' Kolo Toure tries to play a long ball to Balotelli but United defenders do well to stop it.
46' Clichy fouls Young who charges out from a corner. Clichy should never have let Young even get a sniff of the ball.
45+2' Half-time whistle sounds. City were dominant in the first parts of the game but the withdrawal of their captain changed the game and United look in control going in at half-time 0-2 up
45+2' Zabaleta attempts to find Aguero on the right, but Ferdinand is there.
44' Two minutes added to the 1st half.
42' Gareth Barry gets a good chance! He gets the ball from Balotelli's lay-off, but Barry wastes the chance.
39' Man City fans booing controversial winger Ashley Young after he went down under Pablo Zabaleta's challenge
37' Nothing comes out of City's corner.
36' Zabaleta tries to cross it in but Ashley Young denies him and it is a corner. City look lost in the absence of their captain Vincent Kompany.
34' Van Persie caught offside after Valencia waits for Rafael as a foil, but the linesman waves his flag on RVP.
31' Rooney now has 10 goals in the Manchester derbies, more than any other United player.
27' Wayne Rooney scores again. Great work by Rafael after he receives a pass from Valencia and Rafael crosses it in to Rooney who slots it in nicely. 2-0.
25' Yaya Toure's great run ends when he is brought down but the referee doesn't award City a free-kick.
22: Aguero snakes and wriggles in and gets his shot away. Tame and saved relatively easy by De Gea.
22' A Van Persie cross that looks for Rooney is headed away by Nastastic.
21' Great through ball to Ashley Young over the top which puts him 1 on 1 with Joe Hart but he does well to get out of the penalty box quickly to clear the ball
20' Kolo Toure replaces Vincent Kompany as he looks to have sustained an injury
16th: GOALGOALGOAL!!! Rooney and Young break, nice pass from Young and Rooney rolls it between Barry's feet. Hart no chance at all. United lead. Don't squander it, you Reds. Ashley Young crossed it to Rooney in the centre who controlled the ball and found the bottom right corner of the net.
14th: The United fans are baying for blood as Evans is chopped down by Balotelli. Yellow card, they say. De Gea's free kick flies all the way to City's byline. Throw in.

13' Rash challenge from Balotelli on Evans leaves Evans on the ground and Balotelli warned by the referee
12th: City win a corner. More pushes on the way? No, apparently not, as De Gea claims and United break. Nothing to it.
10' A great ball to Clichy who crosses it to the unmarked Balotelli and Balotelli puts it high and wide First real chance in the game8th: Evra is equal to Nasri's trickery, and United scramble it away for a bit.6th: Some jostling in the box for the corner, but it is cleared. Safe! Man City with back heels and toe-pokes all over and they earn a throw. What's next???
4' Gael Clichy knocks into Antonio Valencia but the referee waves play-on and Ferdinand bring downs Aguero as Aguero races towards goal
2nd: Pretty much static stuff, not too much movement, a few passes here and there. United get forward, but City steal it and counter, earning a free kick.

Swansea 0-0 Liverpool (Second Half)
Live commentary by our new assistant editor, Bryan Ng.
Apologies readers, our live commentary will come to an end now due to our assistant editor's other priorities. We sincerely apologise. -FootballMania Group
64th Min:  Nathan Dyer  goes down in the box, but no penalty!!!
63rd Min: Swansea threaten from a corner and Stewart Downing clears off the line. That was close from Swansea!!!
59th Min: Quick counter-attacking football from both teams and Michu registers a header straight at Reina after Hernandez crossed.
59th Min: Chico nearly jeopardizes the Swansea goalkeeper, but Tremmel clear is in time.
57th Min: Foul on Sterling, quick free-kick backwards.
55th Min: Henderson seems to be the most advanced of Liverpool's midfield trio. Gerrard collects a Suarez pass and takes it on after a rebound. Myhill claims easily though.
53rd Min: Reina takes it short and Agger loses it and its a Swansea throw.
52nd Min: Hernandez skips forward and is fouled by a lunge from Allen. De Guzman and Hernandez fancy this one. Hernandez smashes it over disappointingly. Should have done better, it was nowhere near on target.
1st Half Analysis: Liverpool have been subdued by Suarez'a standards. Suarez hasn't had enough service from Gerrard and Allen, thus he has only made chances through brilliant solo efforts. Sterling isn't anywhere to be found, apart from his volley into the woodwork. Johnson and Enrique have been dangerous, and Liverpool have used them to great effect. As Michu, Hernandez and Routledge have been drifting infield, there are pockets of space for Liverpool's full-backs. Enrique has even been seen to remain in the Swansea half even after a shot. Makes sense, with a newly defensive-minded Stewart Downing acting as cover. A mildly exciting first half, which offers a glimpse of the second half. Expect the match to burst to life in the second period, with Liverpool to score first.
45th Min: We approach the second half. Swansea have been dangerous in the second half, with 14 of 18 goals scored after the 15 minute break.
Scrappy play in the 1 minute of stoppage time, Liverpool player stumbling in the semi-circle of Swansea's half.
44th Min: Chico is down on the edge of the box after an unintentional stamp from Enrique as he shielded the ball.
44th Min: Suarez dribbles through, but he tries to chip across goal and Myhill claims the ball sloppily.
43rd: Skrtel and Agger are up, but Johnson heads over yet again. He had half a yard, should have done better!
42nd Min: Routledge tried to be too clever and earn a throw-in but he loses the ball. Liverpool break and earn a corner.
40th Min: Liverpool attempt some one-twos but are stopped by Swansea who eventually claim the ball.
39th Min: Nice touch from Rodgers to instruct Sterling and Downing to act as cover. But is the pace of Sterling going to be missed by Liverpool? We shall see.
37th Min: Hernandez skips through yet again, but his shot is again just high and wide!
36th Min: Swansea try and find a response to this Liverpool flurry, and a shot has to be blocked by Martin Skrtel. Joe Allen is reasonably quiet against his old club. Nostalgia?
34th Min: Liverpool find the back of the net with Enrique, who was offside as Suarez chipped it across the goal. Enrique only was half a yard offside, so unlucky! Twice in two minutes for Liverpool.
33rd Min: The corner is headed on, and Sterling controls is and his shot strikes the post!!! Unlucky!!!
32nd Min: Chance for Suarez, but Angel Rangel blocks the shot after Myhill tries to scramble across.
30th Min: Liverpool are having to run backwards to get the ball and they lose it for a Swansea throw-in.
29th Min: Poor touch from De Guzman and Enrique claims the ball. Gerrard is cheeky and loses the ball, but De Guzman shoots well off.
28th Min: Liverpool have had twice as many goal attempts as Swansea and neither team have made too much progress, apart from Glen Johnson's golden chance.
27th Min: Hernandez tries to trick around Skrtel, and his shot curls just wide.
26th Min: Swansea had to stay alert to prevent a Liverpool chance, and Swansea counter attack. Ball is given away with a sloppy pass and Liverpool get their opportunity. Suarez's shot is blocked.
25th Min: Not too much movement from Liverpool and Swansea earn the ball back. However, they disappointingly lose the ball again.
23rd Min: The goal-kick goes nowhere, and Liverpool get the ball into Swansea's box, cleared. But Liverpool get it back in! Johnson with a chance, but out for a corner after a lucky save. Corner is pointless after a foul in the box on a Swansea player.
22nd Min: No pressure from Liverpool and Swansea's De Guzman puts it out with and overly ambitious effort.
21st Min: Swansea earn the ball back in front of their home fans, but can't do anything with it.
20th Min: Swansea have had slightly more possession for now, Liverpool trying to think of ideas.
19th Min: Hernandez and Chico play a one-two, but Agger gets his foot onto the ball and it goes out off Hernandez.
18th Min: Hernandez squeezed through Liverpool and Routledge almost found his man, only for the ball to be claimed by Reina. Suarez is almost found, but Myhill claims the ball.
17th Min: Swansea keep possession, but Liverpool steal it back. However, Sterling is muscled off the ball.
16th Min: Beautiful cross from Glen Johnson, but its too low for Enrique, who chests it out.
15th Min: Agger wins a throw in and Liverpool retain the ball.
14th Min: Allen goes back to Reina, whose clearance went to Johnson. Fouled, and the free kick is good for Enriquez, who tries to slip in the offside Suarez. Unlucky.
13th Min: Back to some probing passes from both teams, and Raheem Sterling with yet another tame shot. Saved easily.
11th Min: Pablo Hernandez finds Wayne Routledge, who's decent shot is palmed out. The corner doesn't come to much, but a half chance is created from the rebound, which is then cleared by Raheem Sterling.
10th Min: Johnson is found on the overlap, and his cross is put out for a corner. Johnson himself then heads over from the resulting corner.
9th Min: Swansea trying to keep the ball and try to release Davies, but the ball is shepherded out by Sterling.
8th Min: Suarez tries to wriggle through, the Swansea clearance falls to Sterling, but his shot is tame and comfortably saved.
7th Min: Downing thunders forward and finds Gerrard, some passing among Liverpool before Swansea claim the ball and lose it quickly. Cleared by Swansea.
6th Min: Swansea find a way through, but Enrique saves Liverpool. Throw in.
5th Min: Swansea being forced back buy a moving Red Sea of Liverpool players.
4th Min: The corner comes to nothing, Liverpool gain the ball, but Swansea work hard to earn the ball back, and they do.
3rd Min: Nice ball releases Pablo Hernandez, but Stewart Downing, who is seemingly interchanging with Jose Enrique on the left flank, clears it into touch.
2nd Min: Both teams probing each other's defenses, but not asking any questions.
1st Min: Both Liverpool and Swansea are getting to know each other, some half-successful attempts to get the ball forward.

The game started off well with releasing of the 96 balloons in memory of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster. With calls for peace between the two clubs before the meeting, Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez shoke hands before kick-off. Pepe Reina hasn't had to do much, and more involvement from Robin van Persie and Kagawa is needed. Youngster Raheem Sterling and Joe Allen have been lively from the start and made some intelligent passes to Suarez, but the Reds were unable to convert. The energy from the Anfield crowd and the travelling Manchester United supporters can be felt even by watching the live broadcast of the game. Jongo Shelvey was sent off in the 38th minute after a lunge on Jonny Evans, with referee Mark Halsey showing the 14th red card of Liverpool - Manchester United meetings in Premier League history. More threat is needed from United, with their winger Nani struggling to make a difference.

Dimitar Berbatov scored a brace in his first start after leaving the Red Devils. Berbatov's first goal was thanks to brilliant dribbling by winger Alex Kacaniklic. His second came when Billy Jones brought down Kacanklic in the box, and the 31 year-old Berbatov sent former Manchester United teammate Ben Foster the wrong way.

Queens Park Rangers 0-0 Chelsea
So much buzz surrounded this game, for it was the reunion of John Terry and Anton Ferdinand, who made the headlines after Ferdinand claimed that Terry had racially abused him. However, the rivalry between the two players proved more dramatic than the match, for both teams produced a dire goaless draw.
Stoke City 1-1 Manchester City
The English Champions were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw with the Potters, whose hitman Peter Crouch opened the scoring in the 15th.
