Reds lose to Arsenal 1-0

Arsenal opened an eight-point gap over Liverpool with victory
over the Merseysiders. Abou Diaby scored the only goal and
gave Arsenal a 1-0. Liverpool controlled the ball well and had
plenty of possesion but they lacked a cutting edge in attack.
They almost scored an equaliser with four minutes left, about 12
minutes after Diaby scored for the Gunners, when Ryan Babel's
25 yard drive was tipped onto the bar by goalkeeper Almunia.

Match Quotes: Rafael Benitez said: "It was a pity because in
the last 20 minutes, we were pushing hard and had many chances.
It was just quality in the final third that made the big difference. The
second half was much better and we could have got something.
It is important for us to have a good run of results.
There's a long way to go and we need to keep on going."
