After conceding a late goal to let the Philippines draw 1-1 with them, the Lions will be looking to boost forward their AFF Suzuki Cup campaign when they play against Myanmar today (5 December, 2010).
The Lions should not underestimate Myanmar, as the Myanmarese have been involved in some of the best matches in the tournament over the years. Their former captain Soe Myat Min was one of the most talented footballers in the Asean region. Myanmar have never reached the final of the AFF Suzuki Cup, but they enjoyed a great tournament in 2004 when they tied with defending champions Thailand and beat Malaysia at home in group matches before losing 8-5 on aggregate to the Lions in the semi-final. The Lions scored 3 times in extra time in the second leg to end Myanmar campaign.
We here at FootballMania wish that our Lions will go into the game, fighting hard, and whether or not they are down by countless goals, continue to persevere and show Asean Singapore's fighting spirit. Fight hard, Lions!
