Kenny Dalglish and Sir Alex Ferguson. Two admired and respected figures in the wonderful game. Both are Scots, and both are champions. But who will have the last laugh this time?

Anfield is always a hostile environment. The fans chanting and yelling for all they are worth, and the flags donning the Liverpool logo or the crane in the logo. When the referee makes a call against Liverpool that the fans don't like, shouting and scolding including four-word expletives erupt within the stadium. "You'll Never Walk Alone" rings in everyone's ears, for the die-hard Liverpool fans sing them with their heart as one.

The Red Devils have not won against Liverpool in their last three intense meetings, and there have been four penalties in the teams' past five league meetings. Nemanja Vidic, who is likely to return from an injury, has been sent off three times against Liverpool in the league, the most of any player against a single team.

The clubs 116-year rivalry have seen great matches between both clubs, and this match is likely to be a classic too. The jubilation and pride both fans and players feel after a victory against their rivals is remarkable, and it spreads all around the world.

United have stayed at the top of the table, while Liverpool have kept themselves in the upper echelons of the table. Although Liverpool have not shown as much prowess as Manchester United recently, the Reds might make a victory. In their past three meetings, Liverpool have been below Manchester United in the table too, but they won all three. The Reds have that determination, that will to beat United, their fiercest rivals, and this determination will definitely be present again today.

The power of anger can overwhelm the players, especially in the hot Anfield environment. Sparks will fly, voices will be raised, and violence might erupt in clashes like these, but this is one thing both teams have mastered quite well - keeping their cool even in frustrating moments. If they just keep their head in the game, all will be well.

Well, let's see what the outcome of this highly-anticipated match will be!
